The Pride Silver Star Backpacker Plus loads into the cargo area of most mini vans making it a great choice for those who drive a smaller van but are looking for an inside lift.  A favorite feature of the Backpacker Plus is that it requires no installation and once the 3rd row seating is removed, it easily mounts to the four latches of the seating hardware.  There is no drilling or vehicle modification needed. The Silver Star Backpacker Plus comes with a pre-assembled platform and an easy-to-use 2 button hand control making it a breeze. The wheel chocks which keep the scooter or powerchair in place are also adjustable, allowing a secure fit for the specific power mobility unit being transported. The Silver Star Backpacker Plus also offers a manual override just in case your van's battery goes dead. The Pride Silver Star Backpacker Plus includes a wiring kit but both multi purpose and standard battery packs are offered as an option for even greater freedom.
