- Heal section is multi-layered, the top layer consists of independent cell technology for superior pressure reduction.
- Bottom Layer of high density foam provides a firm foundation.
- Mason's SSPT Rail System provides solid-edge support, allowing easy patient transfer to and from bed.
- Top Cover is a 4-way stretch nylon which reduces heat buildup and provides a low shear non-friction surface that is anti-microbial and waterproof.
- Designated head and foot sections.
- Concealed zipper with Mason't Barrier Stop Over-Flap prevents liquids from contaminating mattress core.
- Conforms to California Technical Bulletin #117 for fire-retardancy.

- Contamination Barrier: Mason's Barrier Stop - this flap reduces the possibility of contamination of the inner core.

- Innerspring SUREFLEX Bonnell .312 coil innerspring unit designed for use on hospital gatch beds. Fabricated with double tempered high carbon steel wire. Hourglass shape coils with 5 convolutions, electically tempered wire, knotted ends. Coils secured to each other and border end frames by 17 gauge helical wire.
- Heavy duty resinated pad with a specialized mesh woven back for added firmness-fire retardant.
- Center booster panel - heavy duty resinated pad with a specialized mesh woven back for added firmness covering 1/3 of the innerspring unit.
- Intermediate padding - unit is multi-layered using .7500" high density with a 48-54 IFD and 1.125" high compression foam toppers with a 31-37 IFD. Conforms to California technical Bulletin #117 for fire retardancy.
- Tufting - innertufts, securing all inner components - preventing shifting and abrasion to interior layers when in gatched position.
- Cover - 12 oz. Green Masongard Bacstaph, a fire-retardant, patient-proof, anti-bacterial, triple laminated vinylized weft fabric.
- Border shall be same material.
- Ventilators shall be brass, 4 each; 2 each on each side of mattress
- Four evacuation handles - two on each side
- Binding shall be made of patient-proof vinylized nylon which will not stain, discolor or cause leaching into interior components.

- The Mason Multi-Ply 6500 Global Pressure Reducing Multi-Zoned Foam Mattress is a multi-layered pressure reducing mattress that is soft enough for your lighter patients and durable enough for your heavier patients.
- The top layer of Lura-Quilt foam is aerated which allows air to continuously pass through reducing heat build up. Lura-Quilt reduces pressure on bony prominences by submerging the patient and dispersing weight over a larger surface, thus avoiding sores from unequal weight distribution.
- Lura-Quilt technology offers superior resiliency and in turn quickly recovers to its original configuration once pressure is removed.
- The sloped heel section reduces pressure and increases blood circulation by redistributing the load from the heel to the less vulnerable calf.
- The heel section is precision die-cut to permit air to circulate under the patients heel, which keeps the skin cool and dry.
- The Laura-Tex bottom layer is channel cut to allow continuous gatching of the head and foot section without complications.
